Brian Newman
Senior Pastor Brian & Danielle have been married since 1990. They have two grown children with spouses, and four grandchildren. Brian was hired as Director of Worship Arts in 2014 and was called as Senior Pastor in 2018. He has been an elder since 2015. Brian began studies at Western Seminary in Portland in 2012 with the intent to learn more about the Bible. During that time he accepted the Worship Arts position at Proebstel Church, changed his major to Master of Divinity, and graduated in 2019. Brian’s previous ministry experience was community relations with a missions ministry, and coordinating Perspectives classes. Prior to ministry, Brian earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Portland State University, and worked for 15 years as a freelance musician and sound engineer. His first career of 12 years was machinist. In retrospect, these vocations led to and helped equip him for pastoring.

Ken Stickney
Elder – Board Chairman Ken has been attending Proebstel since birth except for 20 years of college and mission work (73-94). He graduated from Biola University during which he earned a minor in Bible (76-78). He and his wife, Ruth, have been married since1978. Ken and Ruth served as missionaries in the Philippines for over a decade. Ken has served as an elder at Proebstel for about 10 years.

Mark Clark
Elder Mark has been attending Proebstel church since moving to Vancouver, WA
in 2021. He served as Director of Christian Education, member of the leadership board, and Treasurer at his previous church in California. He holds a BS in Mathematics, a MS in Finance, and an MBA. Mark and Becky have been married since 2016, and recently welcomed their first child into the world. |
